CALL THE OFFICIAL LISTING AGENT ELLIE McINTIRE at 443-418-7668. EPIK HOME GROUP OF KELLER WILLIAMS REALTY CENTRE: 410-312-0000.

Beautifully maintained 3 bedroom town home with tons of updates in the sought-after waterfront community of Elizabeth’s Landing in Pasadena. New carpeting throughout, updated kitchen and bath, and tons of storage. You will love the GORGEOUS backyard oasis featuring an upper and lower deck surrounded by a stunning garden! Community features include water access with private beach, pier, picnic areas, and boat ramp. Also included is a spacious park with playground and original farm house that can be rented for private use, or used for community meetings.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT OUR HOME

When we first found our home at 8672 New Bedford Harbour, we loved the location! It’s close to everything! The neighborhood is pretty, people are friendly and having water access is wonderful! What we love about our home is the abundance of natural light, the quiet double deck in the backyard and the gorgeous trees all around.

UPDATES TO OUR HOME

We have made some changes and upgrades like taking out the wall in the bathroom to make it one room, installed a whirlpool tub and added crown molding and new paint. In the kitchen, we knocked down a half wall and put in an island with recessed lights. We also added lights under the cabinets, replaced the counter top, built in a microwave, and just painted. We have just replaced the carpet throughout and replaced all the linoleum with laminate hardwood. We have installed built ins in the living room, changed the coat closet, and painted most of the walls. We built a lower deck in the backyard. Nothing to mow and it’s like having an extra outdoor room.

WE LOVE THE NEIGHBORHOOD

My single favorite thing about the neighborhood is the beach!! We like to go kayaking, crabbing, fishing and of course swimming! They have grills and picnic tables, plus 2 docks. I walk the dog and go down there just to see the water at sunset!!  Pasadena is a great small town that’s close to all the action. DC, Baltimore, and Annapolis are about half hour drive. We wanted to move to Pasadena because of the laid back vibe. It’s a small town that doesn’t feel too small. People are friendly and we are close enough to the big cities.   Sunset Elementary and Northeast High School, the Library, and a dance studio, are all within walking distance from our house. I used to walk my kids to and from school with our dog. Sunset ES is a fantastic school and I’m still friends with some of the great teachers!

RESTAURANTS AND SHOPPING NEAR US

There are 3 malls just minutes away and restaurants everywhere. There are also fitness centers and a new Y with a pool! There are some really good restaurants close to us. My top three choices are Primos Italian, Gourmet Pizza, and Daily Scoop for ice cream. They are family owned and involved in the community. We also have Ledo’s, Texas Roadhouse and 5 Guys Burgers. We shop at Lauers for groceries. They have great prices and they also serve the community. There are 2 locations close by. There’s also a Giant and a Safeway.

WHAT THE SELLERS LOVE

When we found our home at 646 North Bend Road, we immediately fell in love with the brick steps leading up to the big front porch. We have enjoyed many nights rocking on the front porch and chatting with our neighbors as well as hosting great summer parties on the deck. We also loved the convenience of having a driveway large enough for 3 cars as well as ample street parking for guests. We love entertaining in our home. The great room has allowed us to host countless parties with our friends and family. The gas fireplace provides great ambiance and warmth on cold winter nights. Walking into the house we were immediately drawn to its charm and unique features that are common to a traditional Catonsville home while still having modern elements that we love. The original hardwood floors with dark inseams around the edges, the high ceilings, and oversized windows add so much character to the home. Upon entering the great room addition in the rear of the house, we knew this would be where our family would spend the majority of our time together! It most definitely is our favorite space in the house. What we love about our home is the amount of natural light that it gets. During daytime hours, we never feel the need to turn on a light because of the great amount of light and brightness in each room. We also love having the finished in-law suite in the basement which provides a spacious and private space for our guests while giving us a large storage space and workshop in the unfinished section of the basement. Spring, summer and fall are fun times for us in our fenced in back yard. We love the feeling of privacy while playing with our kids in the yard and having dinners on the large deck. On the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve, we have great views of the Inner Harbor fireworks from the front porch and back deck. Winter is also a season that we get to enjoy our back yard. Spending a winter evening relaxing in the hot tub is something that we look forward to every year.

UPDATES TO NORTH BEND

Re-plastered walls in the front living room and dining room

Hardwood floors re-finished in front living room, hallway and main floor bedroom

New carpet in dining room

Removed pop corn ceilings in upstairs bedrooms

Added multiple new outlets as well as light switches in upstairs bedrooms & basement

Re-painted every room in the home (including basement)

New wood-like ceramic tile and carpet flooring in the basement

Had professional landscaper remove trees and level out front/side yard

Our utility costs (both electric and gas) in the summer average about $100 when we keep our thermostat set to 74 degrees. We were living in a 2 bedroom rental apartment before purchasing our home and our utility costs are actually less now. On a cooler day, the cross-breeze that you get from opening the windows is amazing! During the winter, our average utility costs are about $125. The gas fireplace in the great room adds a good amount of warmth to the space. We love the fact the BGE provides our electric and gas to the home. They recently replaced the gas service to the house. They also installed a smart thermostat that is touch-screen and can be controlled through an app on our phone!

GREAT COMMUNITY AND SCHOOLS

In the Westgate Community everyone is very friendly. There’s a mix of young professionals, growing families and people who have lived in the community for decades. Many houses decorate for the holidays and take part in Halloween trick-or-treating. The Westgate Community Association delivers a neighborhood newsletter twice a year and organizes annual events such as an Easter Egg Hunt, Spring Clean-up Day and visits from Santa in Westgate Park (located on North Bend Road). We also love that it is a nice easy walk over to the park at the Christian Temple church and convenience store for ice cream. Westowne Elementary has a new building and the teachers and school community are very well regarded.

WE LOVE CATONSVILLE

Some of the things we love about living in Catonsville are the electic mix of homes, shops and restaurants. There is a “small-town feeling” that really makes it feel like home and provides a great sense of community. The Catonsville 4th of July Parade and fireworks celebration are like no other. Truly something that is a Catonsville tradition and can not be missed! Our family has loved the multiple Farmer’s Markets that are held, the annual September Arts & Crafts festival, the Frederick Road Fridays which are great for live music and the numerous free offerings at the Catonsville library. Some of our favorite restaurants in Catonsville are Matthew’s 1600 for their delicious menu items and relaxed atmosphere, Franco’s for their brick oven pizza, Scittino’s for their cannolis, Opie’s for the best ice cream, Catonsville Gourmet has amazing fresh entrees, Ship’s Café for crabs and Natty Boh’s, & Duesenberg’s for the BEST breakfast you could ever ask for. The Grocery store we use is Aldi’s. They have the best prices but can have a limited selection so at times we also go to Shopper’s which is right down the street. We moved to Catonsville because we loved the small town feeling it provides while also being 10 minutes from the Inner Harbor area of Baltimore City. The music, sports, food and entertainment options that the city offers are countless and all within a 10 minute drive. Additionally, the fact that Catonsville is a neighbor of Howard County also increases that vast amount of food, shopping and entertainment possibilities. It’s a 15 minute drive to the BWI airport which has helped make our traveling stress-free and very convenient. Catonsville is such a central location to everything you could need.

Charming 4 bedroom Catonsville home with fantastic updates already made for you and energy efficient to boot!  Sophisticated layout with gorgeous entry, main level master and convenient laundry area and family room.

The spacious remodeled full bathroom with its frameless shower door, glass block window and granite counters will make you feel like you are at a spa every day!   Head upstairs to enjoy the light filled open layout with hardwood floors, recessed lighting, fully updated kitchen with breakfast bar and storage galore.

Enjoy entertaining friends and family on your large private deck and fenced in yard with shed.  Two spacious bedrooms and another updated full bath complete this level.  Conveniently located in a lovely area of Catonsville walking distance from the local schools and the Trolley Trail and just minutes from historic Ellicott City and Patapsco State Park.

WHAT THE SELLERS LOVE

When we found our home at 2406 Old Frederick Rd, we fell in love with both the inside and outside of the home- the stone lined driveway, the bright red front door, the spacious deck. The inside had more space than we even needed with its four spacious bedrooms and renovated kitchen and bathroom. The home has served us well and grown with our family.   What we love about our home is the openness of the upstairs but separation of the four bedrooms. We can enjoy family time together in the kitchen, dining and living area but everyone also has their own space. We love grilling and having dinner our on our deck.   The kitchen and downstairs bathroom were already renovated when we moved in. Since then, we opened up the family room in the lower level which was once covered with cabinets to accommodate an old-school TV. We repainted the house with mostly neutral colors and we did a slight remodel to the upstairs bathroom. Outside, we created a larger flat yard area to enjoy by relocating the shed and removing an old playground with mulch under half the yard.  Our utility costs have been lower than ever before, even in smaller homes. The home is super energy efficient and keeps our monthly BGE bill very reasonable.

WE LOVE CATONSVILLE

In Catonsville, our neighborhood is great for its sense of community. There are many organized events for the community. There are great children’s sports. Our kids have participated in Catonsville soccer and softball for years. It is certainly true that life is great in 21228.  Some of the things we love about living in Catonsville are the 4th of July events. They do a huge parade that people sit chairs out for a week in advance and finish off the night with fireworks. There are many community activities such as an annual crab feast. We love being close to downtown Catonsville and Old Ellicott City. We also love being close to the trolley trail where we have gone for family jogs, bike rides and just walks down to the Breadery where you can get wood-fired pizza.

Some of our favorite restaurants in the area are Francos in downtown Catonsville, La Palapa in Old Ellicott City and the Trolley Stop.  The grocery store we use is the Giant around the corner but the opportunities are endless. There are stores all up and down route 40 that you can get to in minutes. We moved to Baltimore County because it was close to my family in Ellicott City with the bonus of not paying higher taxes!   There are great elementary and middle schools right around the corner and the community exceeded all of our expectations.  Life is great in 21228!
