When we found our home at 206 Park Drive, we were delighted with how cute and unique the house is. There is nothing but respect for this glorious 98 year old beauty. From the Tudor exterior (with gardening potential that we have leaned into over the years) to the huge primary bedroom, sun filled office, through to the homey back bonus family room and the fantastic patio we knew it was a great space for us. Oak Forest is the perfect vibrant Catonsville neighborhood for walking kids to Hillcrest and CHS, walking everyone to the Sunday farmer's market, restaurants, and naturally the parade, and taking hikes in Patapsco State Park. The neighborhood is super friendly with loads of kids of all ages as well as folks who have lived here far longer than us. Some of the things we love about living in Catonsville are the great schools, the hiking, the parade, the restaurants, the community, the proximity to Ellicott City, Baltimore and DC for further adventuring. There are sometimes in the summer where we can hear the music playing from Lurman or even from neighbors who play in bands and practice locally. On 4th of july and New Years Eve we can usually see the fireworks just steps away from our front door. The walkability to everything is one of our favorite features. 

Some of our most enjoyed restaurants in the area are Jennings, Francos, Catonsville Gourmet and a bit further afield to EZ Cafe, Rathskeller, and The Mint Room. An evening stroll to Opies is always a great way to conclude a summer evening. The grocery stores we use are Sprouts, HMart, and Giant. We moved to Catonsville for the great schools, neighborhood feel, good commutes, and variety of cute houses. Our kids went through 12+ (nursery school too!) years of Catonsville schools and had a great experience. We love having Frederick Road shops within walking distance and Patapsco just down the road.

When we found our home at 23 Holmehurst Avenue, the first thing we noticed was how beautiful the street is.  There are mature trees and the homes are all different and charming. It’s incredibly private and only neighbors need to be on the street.

What we love about our home on the inside is the huge, spacious updated kitchen that allows us to entertain many people comfortably. There is so much counterspace that there is room for gourmet meals and delicious buffets. The main level bedroom has been a godsend with visiting relatives. The 3 bedrooms upstairs are comfortable and of course our lovely new bathroom is a delight.

Outside is our own personal heaven with the pool.  We love drinking our coffee outside and enjoying the seasons. Pool parties have become the norm and it is very enjoyable into the Fall.
