WHAT THE SELLERS LOVE

When we found our home at 3 Milkwood Ct. we immediately realized it had everything we wanted in our first house. The rooms are a perfect size, there are plenty of bathrooms, and the proximity to the pool was just what we had been looking for. The house also had plenty of parking and was in a very walkable neighborhood. We love so many things about our house, it has plenty of room for us, we had a pool table in the basement for parties, an office and extra bedroom upstairs, and when we grew our family we had rooms for both boys. There is plenty of outdoor space, both in the yard in the back, the space in front, and the access to parks and trails. There is tons of natural light and enough sun to have a huge vegetable garden in the back of the house. We love sitting on our deck during the summer and walking right out of the back gate to get to the pool on hot days. There is a dog park across the parking lot, far enough away to not be noisy and close enough to take the dog when she gets restless. We spend tons of time outside, we are around the corner from liberty reservoir, from the house there is Red Run stream valley trail (a paved bike or walking path) and you can hike directly into over 10 miles of trails at Soldiers Delight!!

Our utility costs are incredible low. We average less than $100 a month for electric and gas total! The house is also on Baltimore City water which costs less than $20 a month!! The neighborhood is also wired for Fios so we get extremely fast internet.

WE LOVE OWINGS MILLS

In Newtown, our neighborhood is great for grilling, outdoor activities, meeting people, and raising a family. The area is very social, everyone is extremely nice and outgoing, and you can easily make friends. It is a place where everyone looks out for each other. We have spent countless afternoons at friends’ houses, meeting at the pool, grilling on decks, hiking on the trails, and hanging out at local bars and restaurants. More recently we have playdates, and visit some of the local playgrounds, or head over to the Irvine Nature Center of Soldiers Delight ranger station for activities. The neighborhood has 2 pools and a lap pool, multiple play grounds, tennis courts, dog parks, and tons of trails. Some of the things we love about our area are the number of things to do. There are tons of new developments, from the shopping at foundry row to the new gyms and outdoor activities. There is a farmer’s market in Pikesville and another in Reisterstown, during the summer there is a music on main street festival every Friday where local bands play, and everyone gets together for food and drinks. They also have food truck festivals at the metro center during the summer! There are so many great restaurants and bars around our house. There are several great sushi restaurants, the Gourmet Girls is a great place to grab a salad or sandwich, Artful Gourmet is a great happy hour spot, the Green Turtle is great for games, Harryman House for a nicer meal, Kiccos for woodfired pizza, Sunny Lees for Asian, Crystal Thai, Olive Garden, Mission BBQ, Eggspectations, Times Square Kitchen, the list is endless! We mostly shop at the Wegmans, but there is also a Giant less than a mile from the house and a 24-hour Rite Aid at the end of the neighborhood. We moved to Owings Mills because of the central location and easy commutes. You can ride the metro to Baltimore City in less than 30 minutes, drive easily anywhere in the Baltimore or Washington area, and be at the airport in 25 minutes. You can do all the shopping, eating, partying, and parenting you want without ever leaving the area. In Owings Mills there is a brand-new library, tons of cool shops, and they are building a Costco, Lowes, and Dicks sporting goods where the mall used to be.

The utility costs felt like a deal of a lifetime! The periodical flyers that would come with the BG&E bill would say how little energy I was using. I believe this was due to how warm the house stayed in the winter time and how the breeze kept it cool in the warmer months. It meant less A/C or heat. Other than nighttime, there was never a need to have lights on either. Even at night, one lamp would light up a room due to how open each room in the house is.

WE LOVE CATONSVILLE

The neighbors are all welcoming and friendly. The street behind Wade has a lot of couple and families that would always strike up conversation when walking my dog. The neighbors directly around me are friendly and good wholesome people. Some of the things I love about living in Catonsville are its central location to surrounding areas such as Baltimore City, Ellicott City and Columbia. Catonsville is known as the musical capital and always has festivities going on to back that title up. I love attending Frederick Road Fridays, the 4th of July Parade and Fireworks located on Frederick Road and at Catonsville high school, the local famer’s market and the small shops, bars and restaurants that are all located close by (most within walking distance). Some of my favorite restaurants are Catonsville Gourmet, G. L. Shacks Grill, Matthews 1600, Little Phoenix (great Chinese and sushi), and the Phoenix Emporium just down Frederick Road in Old Ellicott City. The Grocery store I would mainly use would be Giant since they had the best selection, prices/deals, and gas points rewards. Being single and living in Catonsville, I was able to venture to a lot of restaurants, bars and pubs up and down Frederick Road. Everyone is accommodating and friendly to meet. As mentioned before, music is big in Catonsville and it is always great to have live music available year-round. I also love supporting many of the local small businesses in Catonsville. You will find a lot of great things ranging in products and services. I moved to this area because of the great reputation Catonsville has, how central it was to everything around me (including friends and family) and because I will now be starting a family, so I wanted to live in a friendly, comforting, small town.

WHAT THE SELLERS LOVE

When I found my home at 26 Wade Ave, the first important thing was the location within Catonsville and how close it was to Old Ellicott City, as well as the beltway. The style both inside and out with the height of rooms from floor to ceiling, crown molding, archways and layout attracted me to this home. The backyard was a great size for hosting BBQ’s with a firepit. What I love about my home is the coziness and “homely” feeling you get when sitting in the living room. No matter what time of year, it always seems comforting and relaxing to be in. The backyard was my most favorite spot to be either with friends and family or just with my dog. The breeze that comes in the windows during the spring and summer months was great! No shortage there. The light that comes in has always been pleasing as well.

The utility costs felt like a deal of a lifetime! The periodical flyers that would come with the BG&E bill would say how little energy I was using. I believe this was due to how warm the house stayed in the winter time and how the breeze kept it cool in the warmer months. It meant less A/C or heat. Other than nighttime, there was never a need to have lights on either. Even at night, one lamp would light up a room due to how open each room in the house is.
