Here is what the homeowners have to say about 201 Kenwood Avenue

When we found our home at 201 Kenwood we loved the huge stairs leading up to the large covered porch. Perfect for relaxing on a spring or summer day! It’s such a great family house with tons of Charm and Character in Catonsville which is a great community.

When we walked into the house we loved the original parlor layout with the beautiful hardwood entry leading right into our most favorite part of our house, the “GREAT ROOM”. We could see it would be perfect for hanging out with our family, entertaining in such a beautiful large space. The brightness from the windows and original crown molding around them gave them so much charm.

We immediately fell in love. The original hardwood floors throughout was the icing on the cake especially the dark wood inseams around the edges. The bedrooms were large for an older room which was a major plus and the original doors were carried throughout keeping that charm we loved so much.

The fenced in backyard was just a huge bonus with a great deck for entertaining on top. We could see many nights being spent out there with our family. An additional thing we loved was the potential for parking, there are plenty of spaces for all of our cars and friends and family when they visit.

What we love about our home is spending family nights in our great room. Eating dinner all together, followed by a movie by the fire or Sundays watching the Ravens huddled around a table full of food cheering on the game from the table all together in one GREAT room.

WHAT WE LOVE ABOUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD

Paradise is a great area with a community feel! In the spring we just started to have Paradise Festivus. There is live music, food trucks, games for kids and a beer garden. It was a great event for families and within walking distance from us! We are also steps from the Trolley Trail which can lead you all the way through town, such a great way to spend a nice family weekend afternoon.

WE LOVE CATONSVILLE

I love living in Catonsville, I have lived here for most of my whole life and I was so excited to raise my kids in this town.

Some of the things we love about living in Catonsville? Number one would have to be the 4th of July Parade and Festivities! It is the best you will find anywhere, people having parties everywhere, all day throughout town, parades, and then the best fireworks in town. Frederick Road Fridays has been my families favorite new summertime tradition, we go, get pizza from Peace of Pizza dance and hang out all night. What a great time! The Lighting of the Christmas Tree, the Y of Central Maryland Turkey Trot since we are active members:) I could go on and on. We love it here and love raising our family here with all of our friends and family who also all live in Catonsville!

GREAT SCHOOLS IN CATONSVILLE

In Catonsville the Elementary schools are all fantastic! The teaching staff at Catonsville Elementary has been amazing and they have so many student activities and family activities to involve kids and parents. They are just getting ready to open a brand new school in the fall which the school community is really excited about. They have been wonderful with my son’s severe food allergies which is extremely important, and I really feel my son has been getting an outstanding education.

FAVORITE RESTAURANTS

A new one SO close to us is Urban BBQ! It is amazing!!! Some of the classics that we will love forever: G.L. Shacks, Matthew’s 1600 (Bridal Shower here and both kids baby showers 🙂 , Catonsville Gourmet, Ships Cafe, Scittino’s in Catonsville BEST PIZZA EVER (we get it every Friday night).

The Grocery Store we use is Giant so convenient that it takes less than a minute to get there. There is also a Rite Aid 2 minutes away which is really convenient when we just need something quickly! We moved to Baltimore County because of the job opportunities, conveniently located to Ellicott City, DC, Annapolis, Baltimore City. Great Schools, great sense of community close to lots of shops, restaurants. Seemed to be a great central location and convenient to many options.
