When we found our home at 408 Baylor Road we first noticed the amazing rose bushes that line the front windows of the house. Once inside we were happy to learn that the original hardwood floors were under carpet throughout the house. The condition was still outstanding – all they needed was to be refinished. The kitchen has so much cabinet space and plenty of storage for our cooking needs. We have to stay that the seasonal sunroom was the final thing that made us absolutely fall in love with this house! All the natural sunlight that flows thru the entire house, the original hardwood floors and the back deck that we built are things we enjoy everyday! UTILITES Out utility costs are better than we experienced in our former location. We have our gas and electric thru BGE and they gave us a rating of a B+ for our area, in reference to how much we conserve energy. GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD In Glen Burnie Park there are so many wonderful aspects to this neighborhood. There is a elementary school 2 blocks down, baseball fields, and a community pool. Our block has friendly neighbors who all participate in a yearly block party every September. Glen Burnie is a community that truly gives back to its? residence. They hold fireworks every 4th of July, which are amazing along with a parade and huge carnival for all the attend. Some of our favorite restaurants are Mission BBQ, Mi Pueblo, Sunset and Pappas (Home of the huge crab cake). Glen Burnie has a lot of local grocery stores! The one we use most often is Giant and a local small organic and seasonally fresh store called Bears Honey Pot. We moved to this section of Anne Arundel county for the convenience of everything being so close. There are major stores within minutes of our neighborhood and a lot of county activities geared towards children and adults. The elementary school is within walking distance.
