GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD AND AMENITIES Our lovely community has several annual social events for children and adults (Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween hay rides, Santa visit, summer community BBQ) and everyone is very friendly without being intrusive. Lisbon has a wonderful horse parade during the Christmas season and the Days End Horse Rescue has a fantastic festival and open house in the fall. The farm across from Cabin Branch hosts an Equine and Wine festival in the fall as well. HOWARD COUNTY IS FANTASTIC We moved to Howard County because of the outstanding education system, fantastic recreational facilities, and the peaceful and friendly community. Our area is a wonderful place to bring up children and ensure that they meet their full potentials academically and musically. As well as producing academic achievers, Glenelg High School has one of the top Maryland performing arts departments. The Jazz Band has gone on several European tours including playing at the Montreal Jazz Festival. The Glenelg Choir competes nationally winning festival awards for over four straight years. They are so impressive that a world renowned composer has commissioned a piece that the choir will be performing the world premiere of that piece, and be included in a recording among the best choirs worldwide! The Madrigal Ensemble singers have performed by invitation for the Governor of Maryland.
