WHAT THE OWNERS LOVE ABOUT THEIR HOME When we found our home at 1 Nayborly Court, we first loved the quiet, cozy neighborhood. Tucked back in a cul-de-sac, the home felt so family friendly and safe for raising our baby. The home itself is very stately and looks gorgeous on the corner of the street. We also really love the back porch! It’s the perfect place for entertaining and grilling out, and in the spring, sitting in the gazebo is so relaxing. Plus, the oversized windows in the family room and living room fill the home with so much natural light and really make the hardwood floors shine. We really love having cozy fires in the family room fireplace during the winter. The kitchen and family room flow so beautifully together, so it’s fun cooking dinner while I watch my son play. Also, the master bathroom is just fantastic with the oversized tub and picture window. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing! Plus, the basement is like having a whole second house! It’s huge and the perfect spot for our home gym and office. UPDATES AND UPGRADES We had a really stunning new roof installed with new insulation in the attic. We also had the whole house painted in calming, modern shades (no more mustard yellow LOL!). We’ve had the tile in the kitchen professionally clean and the grout repaired. The fireplace panels have been replaced. The carpet has been professionally cleaned several times and stretched. We had dead trees removed from the property and the whole yard professionally landscaped! Our utility costs are better than we have expected! LOVE OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AND COMMUNITY The location of this home was a perfect fit for all those things! In Catonsville, the school system is great. Our home is zoned to wonderful, high ranked schools, which was so important for us. Our neighborhood is so friendly! Our neighbors host block parties each year and everyone shows up to eat hamburgers and hotdogs and play games. There’s a Facebook group for the neighborhood where we can post questions or ask for help, which has been so great. Also, in the winter, the neighbors all pitch in to help with shoveling. Plus the HOA takes care of a lot, too! Catonsville is such a friendly town! We really love how close Catonsville is to Baltimore and Columbia. The downtown is so sweet, with lots of great little shops and restaurants. The library is awesome! Each year, there’s a big parade for the 4th of July, and over the holidays, Santa comes on a firetruck through the neighborhood! We love to eat out! We get delivery a lot from Peace a Pizza in downtown Catonsville. We also love China Haste, the Kabab Hut, and Pho Sagon! Lots of really awesome options for good food! The grocery store we use is Safeway! They deliver right to our house! If we need anything mid-week, we pop by the local Giant or Aldi, which are only about 10 minutes away. When we moved to Catonsville, we were looking for a neighborhood that was family friendly, an easy commute to downtown, and had great schools! We also really love the library. Because it’s part of the BCPL system, it’s so well connected!
